1. About SeferAI
SeferAI is a free service that uses artificial intelligence to help users explore Jewish texts from the Sefaria library. Our service generates AI-powered syntheses and podcast-style audio content based on your queries about Jewish texts, traditions, and teachings.
2. Account Registration
To access certain features, you may sign in using your Google account or Apple ID. By signing in, you:
- Confirm you are at least 13 years of age
- Agree to provide accurate information
- Are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the app. Deleting your account will permanently remove all your data, including syntheses, podcasts, and subscription information.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
SeferAI offers optional auto-renewable subscription plans:
- Premium ($9.99/month): Unlimited synthesis, unabridged podcasts, premium voice quality, and priority processing
- Ultra-Premium ($14.99/month): Everything in Premium plus 2-person conversational podcasts; interactive mindmaps, smart flashcards, structured study guides, and knowledge quizzes are coming soon
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew each month unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID Account Settings. No refunds will be provided for the unused portion of a subscription period.
Prices are in USD and may vary by region. Prices are subject to change, but we will notify you in advance of any price increases.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use SeferAI only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Use the service to generate harmful, abusive, or illegal content
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt our services
- Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download content
- Misrepresent AI-generated content as human-authored scholarly work
- Resell or commercially redistribute content without permission
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
5. AI-Generated Content
Important: Content generated by SeferAI is created using artificial intelligence and should not be considered authoritative religious, legal, or scholarly guidance. Always consult qualified religious authorities, scholars, or professionals for important decisions.
By using our service, you understand that:
- AI-generated syntheses are interpretive summaries, not original scholarship
- Content may contain errors, omissions, or misinterpretations
- The AI draws from Sefaria's text library but may not represent complete or accurate views
- Generated content is for educational and personal exploration purposes
6. Intellectual Property
Source Texts: Jewish texts accessed through our service come from Sefaria.org and are subject to Sefaria's licensing terms. Many texts are in the public domain; others are licensed under Creative Commons.
AI-Generated Content: You may use syntheses and podcasts generated for you for personal, non-commercial purposes. You retain ownership of your specific queries and may share your generated content.
Our Service: The SeferAI name, logo, website design, and underlying technology are our property or licensed to us.
7. User Content
If you choose to make podcasts public or share content:
- You grant us permission to display and distribute that content
- You confirm you have the right to share such content
- You can request removal of your public content at any time
8. Service Availability
SeferAI is provided as a free service. We strive for reliability but:
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
- We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time
- We may implement usage limits to ensure fair access for all users
- Scheduled maintenance may temporarily affect availability
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
SeferAI is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We specifically disclaim warranties of:
- Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of content
- Uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SeferAI and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
